Fairfield Woods is a municipal facility located at 1115 Fairfield Woods Road in Fairfield, Connecticut and is currently undergoing environmental remediation. Oscar’s Abatement LLC was contracted to perform the removal and disposal of PCB-containing materials identified within the facility.

The project consists of abatement activities involving the safe removal of PCB-containing materials using controlled methods and proper containment procedures. Work includes the establishment of negative pressure containment areas and removal utilizing wet methods and hand tools to minimize disturbance and ensure safe handling of contaminated materials.

The primary goal of this project is the safe removal and proper disposal of PB-containing materials while maintaining compliance with EPA, DOT, and state environmental regulations. All materials are properly labeled and transported to an approved EPA disposal facility at Turnkey Landfill in Rochester, New Hampshire. Decontamination procedures are performed using both hot and cold water systems, and a bulk waste container is maintained on site for proper material management.
